CHILE TRIP - Dec. 24 - Jan. 7

CHILE TRIP - Dec. 24 - Jan. 7

Chile — two unforgettable weeks!

So grateful for the chance to experience this beautiful country. Santiago was full of green spaces and stunning parks, gorgeous plants everywhere, museums, walkable neighborhoods, and really good food. We ate incredibly well the entire trip, from classic local spots to unforgettable meals. Food, wine, and even Uber rides were refreshingly affordable. What would be a $15-$20 Uber in St. Pete was $4. Chilean wines in the stores were around $5 and $12 in a restaurant!

I had a great travel partner, Frankie Garay. We divided and conquered with planning our trip which included 5 individual day tours. After a week in Santiago, we took a 3-hr. flight down to Patagonia for a few days.

We explored Valparaíso and Viña del Mar on the Pacific coast, visited vineyards, relaxed at a spa in the Maipo Valley with a swim-up bar, and visited the famous “Chocolate House”. One of my favorite moments was eating at El Hoyo, a place I’d seen on Anthony Bourdain’s Chile episode.

Then came Patagonia… absolutely breathtaking. Glaciers, mountains, caves, and scenery that doesn’t feel real. Three days of pure awe and natural beauty that I’ll never forget.

Chile is a country of contrasts — vibrant cities, dramatic wilderness, incredible food, and a deep appreciation for life’s pleasures. I’m so glad I went, and I’ll be carrying these memories (and photos!) with me for a long time.
